Graphic Design USA
2021 Student to Watch
Hello! My name is Talia Trackim. I’m a multidisciplinary designer and art director based in Washington, D.C. I’m passionate about shaping visual stories and building thoughtful products.
I was a news designer at The Washington Post for nearly five years. I started in print design, then became a digital designer and creative developer. I also commissioned artwork from freelance illustrators, managed projects and collaborated with others to deliver compelling designs for projects across the newsroom. My work has been recognized by The Society for News Design, Graphic Design USA and The Webby Awards.
Before joining The Post, I graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where I was the presentation director of The Daily Orange, an independent student newspaper. I also interned at The Minnesota Star Tribune.
I’m a member of the competition committee for The Society for News Design, where I help write calls for entires, maintain competition documentation and manage event logistics.
